COUNTDOWN TO BOOK LAUNCH

A STORY OF LOVE, PASSION AND THE SEARCH FOR FULFILMENT IN A RELATIONSHIP

A STORY OF…

A story of love, passion and the search for real fulfilment within a relationship.

It’s the aftermath of the Second World War in the lush valley of Karrana, a fictional town on the north coast of New South Wales, Australia.

At a victory dance, Bridie meets and falls in love with Will from the other side of the river. Both lack life experience and contentment within their families. Bridie feels powerless when confronted with family and social obstacles to her dreams of a life with her chosen partner.

This narrative parallels that of Australia at the end of the forties, moving forward, through conflict and passion, towards a more tolerant and liberated future, especially for women. It resembles a Coming of Age novel from an historical perspective.

WRITING A NOVEL ‘The Big Picture’

This book looks at the global issues involved in writing a longer work, such as a novel. Many authors know how to write captivating language, how to create characters, and to use correct grammar, but they have trouble achieving the final product involved in writing a novel.
